Jeff is a seasoned litigator who has tried more than 30 jury trials to verdict, has participated in several bench trials, arbitrations, mediations and negotiations, and has been involved in national class action cases, in addition to multidistrict litigation dockets. Jeff focuses his law practice in the areas of products liability, premises liability, construction liability and motor vehicle accidents, and also handles matters involving professional malpractice, wrongful death and dram shop.

Jeff has represented Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 corporations, as well as insurance companies, small businesses and individuals. He previously gained experience as a plaintiff’s attorney where he handled personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.

Practices

  • Represented client, a steel mill, after pipefitter Plaintiff sustained an injury on our premises and alleged permanent, total disability. The jury returned a defense verdict for our client and the Fifth District Appellate Court reversed the trial court and remanded for a new trial; the Supreme Court of Illinois reversed the Fifth District Appellate Court’s decision and affirmed the trial court’s defense verdict.
  • Represented homeowner in  lawsuit wherein Plaintiff sustained injuries after falling seven feet off the homeowner’s deck that did not have a handrail, as required per the Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) National Building Code; the jury returned a verdict for our client.
  • Represented insurance company client and its sales agent against claims of failure to procure insurance on a commercial property; the jury returned a verdict for both defendants.
  • Represented client after they slipped and fell at a fast food restaurant and sustained a torn medical meniscus that required arthroscopic surgery; the jury returned a verdict in favor of our client, including costs of litigation.
  • Represented our client who sideswiped Plaintiff’s vehicle on snow and ice covered roads, allegedly causing injuries; the jury returned a verdict in favor of our client.
