Litchfield Cavo Recognizes Global Diversity Awareness Month

In honor of Global Diversity Awareness month, a month-long celebration throughout October to pay tribute to and recognize diverse cultures and perspectives, Litchfield Cavo LLP’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee hosted a Zoom luncheon on October 29, attended by our attorneys throughout the country.

The luncheon consisted of a panel discussion moderated by Fort Lauderdale Partner Geralyn M. Passaro. Chicago Attorney Shadi Blanche, who practiced in Iran, and Fort Lauderdale Attorney Paula Melo, who practiced in Brazil, joined the panel to share their experiences practicing in their respective jurisdictions outside the United States. During the presentation, the attorneys shared differences between justice systems, and obstacles they faced when moving to the United States and transitioning to United States practice. They also shared how our attorneys, as their colleagues, can assist with their continued professional growth and development.
