Litchfield Cavo LLP Co-Sponsors 2021 Southeastern Minority Job Fair’s Virtual Interview Program

This summer, Litchfield Cavo LLP is a participating sponsor in the Southeastern Minority Job Fair’s Virtual Interview Program. The annual event will take place July 15-16 and is being held virtually for the second consecutive year. Approximately 600 law student candidates are expected to participate, representing more than 50 American Bar Association-approved southeastern law schools, including many of the country’s top-tier law schools.

The Southeastern Minority Job Fair (SEMJF) affords rising second- and third-year law students, as well as recent graduates, the opportunity to meet and interview with top law firms, government agencies and public interest organizations for summer and permanent positions. The interviews at SEMJF take place before most schools’ on-campus interviews occur, affording the participating law students additional leverage in their job search.

During the virtual event, participating employers can review resumes submitted by the law students, and pre-selected candidates can take part in 20-minute screening sessions. Candidates may then be invited for call-back interviews. Part of the application process requires each candidate to submit a diversity statement describing how they will support an employer’s diversity goals for the employer’s consideration of how that candidate will strengthen their prospective workforce, broaden their client base and foster a more inclusive environment.
