He focuses his practice on commercial litigation, employment and labor law, construction defect and premises liability. In addition, Sean handles matters related to professional liability, intellectual property and motor vehicle accidents. He also represents home appliance manufacturers in defense of products liability actions.

Sean served as an extern for the Honorable Justice Kenneth L. Thompson of the New York Supreme Court, Bronx County.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained summary judgment at the Supreme Court of Queens County in a premises liability case for property owner client
  • Prevailed in the New York State Division of Human Rights (NYSDHR) on behalf of our medical facility client in a case involving their former long-term certified nursing assistant (CNA) employee who filed a complaint alleging racial and ethnic discrimination and retaliation following termination; following an NYSDHR investigation, the Court found no probable cause that our client engaged in any unlawful discriminatory practice
  • Obtained voluntary dismissal on behalf of a renowned global kitchen wares company in a discrimination claim based on ethnicity, and harassment and retaliatory discharge claims filed by a former officer with the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, after withdrawing from a similar claim filed with OSHA
  • Obtained dismissal on behalf of construction company in a gender-based discrimination and harassment claim finding no probable cause
  • Obtained defense verdict in federal jury trial before the Magistrate Judge on behalf of a private social club comprising exclusively of female members in a complex New York Labor Law whistleblower case involving tipping of workers, retaliation and hostile work environment claim
  • Obtained summary judgment on wrongful discharge and retaliation claims based on racial discrimination in the New York State Supreme Court, New York County
  • Presented before EEOC and New York State Human Rights Division resulting in findings of no probable cause and dismissal
  • Successful mediation and settlements in a variety of employment discrimination, FLSA class action, and NYLL Wage and Hour
