Luana DiSarra Scavone

Luana focuses her practice on the evaluation, preparation and trial of complex commercial litigation in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Her practice includes general liability, commercial liability, dram shop liability, premise liability, professional liability, product defects and discrimination claims. She also has extensive experience in construction site accidents, catastrophic personal injuries, wrongful death actions, trucking liability, contract disputes and consumer protection violations.

Luana has defended hundreds of insured private individuals, insured companies, self-insured corporations and insurance companies. She has practiced in Superior Courts, District Courts, US District Courts, and Appeals Courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights and State Professional Licensing Boards. She is involved in all phases of litigation through trial including bench trials and jury trials. She has successfully argued numerous dispositive motions, including summary judgment motions. She has also represented clients in alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration.

Luana completed an intensive Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Trial Advocacy Program directed by Massachusetts Superior Court Justices. She also presents on the topics of Wills, Trusts, Consumer Protection, Insurer Bad Faith and Recent Developments in the Law for both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
